LG’s First Foldable Smartphone Series Get Trademark Names – Flex, Foldi and Duplex

Foldable smartphones, the term that would most likely increase rapidly starting next year – thanks to Samsung, Huawei and Motorola brands. While Samsung has showcased its first Galaxy Flex foldable smartphone recently at SDC 2018, the other manufacturers are most likely to add up.

It appears LG is likely to join this foldable display bandwagon as well. According to a report from LetsGoDigital, LG has filed new trademark names called LG Flex, Foldi and Duplex for its new foldable technology smartphone series. The new development comes after the CEO of LG mobiles confirmed that the company is also developing its first foldable smartphone, recently.

The report further reveals that a couple of days ago, LG had applied for the above mentioned three trademark names at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Furthermore, these names are being categorized to the smartphone sections as well.

However, there isn’t much information about the products itself apart from these new brand names, of which, one of them has already used by Samsung for its first foldable smartphone – the Galaxy F (Flex). The other trademark names Duplex and Foldi are said to have a ‘double’ display and a ‘folding’ display accordingly, the report said.
