Xiaomi Mi Router 4A & Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition Launched
Xiaomi has been selling router from the last few years in China. In May 2017, the Xiaomi India launched the Mi Router 3C as its first ever router in India. Now, the company launched its latest routers in China – Mi Router 4A and Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition. While the design of both the routers look similar, the Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition comes in a bigger size. Just like the other Mi Routers, the new Mi Router 4A can also be controlled seamlessly using the MiWiFi app.
The MiWiFi is available for both Android and iOS devices and comes with a slew of features. While the routers support dual bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz), the users can choose to have only one Wi-Fi name where the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are combined into one. Both the Mi Routers come with 4 omnidirectional antennas for better Wi-Fi signal even in the areas obstructed by walls.
The PA (Power Amplifier) and LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) are integrated inside the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless chips to enhance the signal transmission power and improve signal reception sensitivity. The Mi Router 4A also comes with 64MB of storage, the Gigabit edition comes with 128GB of storage for offering a stable connection to more devices. The software is also optimized for better integration with Xiaomi IoT devices.
These new routers also come with an option, where the users can turn it on to make money by providing Wi-Fi to nearby people. Coming to the pricing, the Mi Router 4A and Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition are priced at CNY 119 (approx $18 / INR 1,250) and CNY 169 (approx USD 25 / INR 1750) respectively. As of now, the new MI Routers come only in White color and will be on sale starting from March 19th. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar to know about the availability of these routers in India.
