Samsung Galaxy A9 to get Android 9.0 Pie Update Soon, Official roll-out begins in Poland
Back in November, Samsung has unveiled its new higher mid-range smartphone in India – the Galaxy A9. The A9 has been the first phone from Samsung that has featured quad rear camera setup and also featured a gradient color finish in a 3D curved glass build. The company had launched in the country starting at Rs 36,990 for the base variant. The Galaxy A9 device, which has shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box has now started receiving Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie update.
Samsung had recently rolled out Android Pie update for its another mid-range Galaxy A8 devices starting in Russia. And, the company has now begun the Android Pie roll out to the Galaxy A9 device as well – starting from Poland. And, the global rollout would also be happening in sometime soon, this year. According to The Android Soul, the new Android 9.0 Pie update rolling out in Poland for the Galaxy A9 carries A920FXXU1BSC5 build version alongside the security patch of the February month as well.
As for the update is concerned, the Android Pie update gets rid of the good old Samsung Experience and brings in the new OneUI for the Galaxy A9 device. The OneUI is complete design overhaul developed by Samsung that brings in tons of features to the user interface and several other features that include – notification improvements, new Samsung Keyboard, Always-on display gets new features, and Phone Settings also get a design revamp.
As stated, global roll-out of the latest Android Pie update with OneUI on top of it is yet to be known. However, the rollout shouldn’t be long, and we recommend Galaxy A9 users to head over to Settings and Update Software menu and keep in check, the official OTA might roll out soon.
