Official Redmi 7 Teaser Reveals Gradient Body & Dual Rear Cameras

Xiaomi has already confirmed to launch the Redmi 7 smartphone alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro on March 18th in China. The company recently posted images of the retail box of both these devices. Today, Lu Weibing, GM of Redmi and VP of Xiaomi, posted the image of the device revealing the design of the device. The device looks exactly same as on the TENAA listing with the with gradient finish body.

On the rear, we can also spot dual camera setup along with a circular fingerprint scanner. The Redmi Note 7 launched in China came with 18 months of warranty. Now, the upcoming Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 7 are also confirmed to come with 18 months of warranty. Based on the TENAA listing, the device will be coming with a 6.26-inch display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution.

Both the upcoming Redmi devices will feature waterdrop notch display and 4000mAh battery. The device will be running on Android 9.0 Pie based MIUI 10 out of the box. It will come powered by an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. While there is no official confirmation, the Redmi 7 might come in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM variants. For selfies, the device will be featuring an 8MP front-facing camera.

While the base variant of the Redmi Note 7 is priced at CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,000), we can expect the 2GB RAM variant of Redmi 7 to cost around CNY 700 (approx Rs 7,000).
