Google Fit App New Update brings Support for Lower Power GPS on Wear OS
Well, we very well know that the Wear OS users have problems with battery issues and Google is now rolling out an update to Wear OS which will bring battery improvements to the Ticwatch Pro users. With this update to Google Fit, the battery improvement is said to be seen but there isn’t any particular metric that has been mentioned by Google which indicates the amount of battery life improved.
Furthermore, Google also didn’t mention any smartwatches except the TicWatch Pro which will be supporting this new feature. It also mentioned that if a watchmaker device supports the requirements, the watches can take advantage of the feature. With this new update, low-power GPS mode will be contributing a better battery endurance while working out and might see better results.
The Ticwatch Pro watch from Mobvoi comes with a 1.39-inch 400×400 pixels OLED display which an FSTN LCD display which is transparent. This device measures 45mm and comes with stainless steel on the bottom and around the bezels, while we can find hard nylon material for the rest of the watch. There is a speaker on the device which is small and good enough to take calls. This watch has a heart rate sensor and this works even when the device is on Essential Mode that saves the battery on this smartwatch.
With Ticwatch, users can make contactless payments where ever Google pay is available since it includes an NFC chip on it. The smartwatch comes with a magnetic charging puck while the device came with two displays that are stacked on one another to save battery. Did you receive this new update on your watch?
