Samsung Galaxy Watch Active

Firstly, the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Watch, which was released last year has been upgraded as Galaxy Watch Active, which now appears to be more sleeker than the predecessor. The new Galaxy Watch Active features an 11-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 360×360 pixels. Unlike the Galaxy Watch, the Active doesn’t feature a rotating dial to interact with the watch; instead, users will need to rely on swiping on the 11-inch screen to navigate across the menus. Dual-core Exynos 9110 processor powers the Galaxy Watch Active and the watch is fuelled by a 230mAh battery that supports wireless charging. The smartwatch runs on Wizen-based Wearable OS 4.0.

The Galaxy Watch Active comes with Optical heart rate sensor, and the new watch is now capable of monitoring Blood Pressure (BP) and starting next month users can keep track on their BP levels via a My BP lap app on your smartphone. And lastly, the Galaxy Watch Active supports Bluetooth 4.2, W-Fi and features built-in GPS and NFC and also offers water resistance too. For those, who are into customizing their smartwatches, Samsung provides a bunch of watch faces as well. The new Galaxy Watch Active costs $199 and will be available for sale from next month.

Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e – fitness trackers

Samsung has decided to compete against a plethora of fitness trackers available in the market currently with the launch of its new fitness trackers – the Galaxy Fit and the Galaxy Fit e. Designed for fitness enthusiasts, these fitness trackers feature a built-in heart rate sensor and AMOLED displays. The Galaxy Fit comes with a .95-inch full-color AMOLED screen while the Fit e features a 0.74-inch PMOLED screen. Considering the Fit e to be on the low-cost segment, it only features heart rate monitoring and accelerometer, while the standard variant has a Gyroscope additionally as well.

However, these wearables don’t feature built-in GPS. Both the wearables are water-resistant, and the Galaxy Fit supports wireless charging to charge its 120mAh battery whereas the Fit e doesn’t support the wireless charge and features a 70mAh battery. Both the fitness trackers run on Real-time OS, developed by Samsung. These fitness bands from Samsung come in a variety of color options that include Black, White, Silver and Yellow.

Samsung has finally ventured into Bluetooth earbuds to compete against Apple’s AirPods. The company had unveiled its first true wireless earbuds that come with a carrying case at the unpacked event today. These cord-free earbuds developed by Samsung are claimed to be truly comfortable form factor and come with say controls and also said to have a clear and smart sound.
