Nokia 9 PureView with Five 12MP Rear Cameras & In-display Fingerprint sensor Launched
The much-awaited Nokia’s penta camera smartphone – the Nokia 9 PureView has been unveiled by HMD Global at MWC 2019, in Barcelona. The flagship phone is equipped with a total of 6 cameras including five lenses on the rear and the front-facing selfie shooter as well. Needless to say, the Nokia PureView is targeted for all those photography enthusiasts out there. The company had also teased the Nokia 9’s camera samples earlier on its social media, which included a well known professional photographer as well.
Getting into the USP of the device, which is the five camera setup on the rear, the Nokia 9 PureView comprises of five 12MP camera sensors, which are also Carl Zeiss optics. To be precise, out of the five 12MP sensors, three act as monochrome sensors and two others are capable of capturing full-color photos. Nokia claims these cameras work together in synergy with the computational photography to obtain more light alongside depth, exposure and contrast effects as well.
The five cameras are backed by Lux Capacitor image processing chipset and multi-lens L16 camera tech that allow the five cameras to capture more light from a shot. Furthermore, these five cameras are also capable of taking HDR photos and are said to be saved in RAW files, with moderate file sizes as well. The images captured can also be edited without loss of any precise detail.
As far as the design goes, the Nokia 9 PureView looks pretty much similar to its earlier released models with minimal bezels on top and bottom, without any notches or punch-hole displays. The Nokia 9 PureView looks pretty much straightforward and certainly not like a 2019 smartphone. However, the device packs in noticeable features and specifications. First off, the Nokia 9 features a 5.99-inch. QHO+ pOLED PureDisplay that offers a resolution of 2K HD, which is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and also features in Midnight Blue color variant as of now.

The phone features a 20MP front-facing shooter with display flash. The Nokia is powered by a 3320mAh battery that also supports wireless charging. As for the authentication, the Nokia 9 features in-display fingerprint sensor as well.
