Nokia 210 Feature Phone & Nokia 1 Plus Android Pie (Go Edition) Smartphone Launched

HMD Global has launched many devices at the MWC 2019 along with its flagship Nokia 9 PureView smartphone which came with five cameras. At the event in Barcelona, Nokia announced its Nokia 210 feature phone along with three other entry-level smartphones called as Nokia 4.2, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 3.2. The Nokia 1 Plus is the latest Android Go Edition smartphone which is the successor of the Nokia 1 that was introduced at MWC 2018.

The Nokia 210 Feature phones come with a 2.4-inch QVGA display and support dual SIM connectivity. Although the device does not support 4G connectivity, it comes S30+ operating system out of the box. It is powered with MediaTek MT6260A chipset and comes with support for Facebook pre-installed and also has an App Store to download applications and games. It has a VGA camera on the rear with LED flash and has 16MB internal storage.

To power it, there is a 1020 mAh battery that is claimed to offer 18 hours talk time and standby of up to 20 days. The device will be available from next week in Charcoal Red and Grey color option for the price of $35 (approx Rs. 2,500).

Nokia 1 Plus

Nokia 1 Plus comes powered with a MediaTek MT6739 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device features a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ IPS touchscreen display and has onboard storage of 8GB which could be extended further up to a maximum of 128GB via microSD card slot. It will come out of the box with Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) and nothing is mentioned about its further updates.

There is a 2500mAh battery on the device and is just a single SIM variant targeted towards first time Android users. Furthermore, it features an 8MP camera on the rear with LED flash and has a 5MP front facing sensor. The handset will be available from March and will be coming in Red, Blue, and Black color options and is priced at $99 (approx Rs. 7,000).
