Leak: Huawei’s First Foldable Smartphone – the Mate X is 5G Compatible
Let us digest the fact that this year is going to be a year of foldable smartphones for sure. Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Fold, its first foldable phone recently. Xiaomi has also hinted its dual foldable phone recently through a video. However, Huawei has been discreet about its foldable display technology, till now. Ahead of MWC in a couple of days, its first foldable phone has been surfaced on the web.
Huawei’s upcoming foldable phone is the Mate X, and it supports 5G connectivity as well. This is according to recent the banner leak, which was surfaced on Twitter, wherein the Mate X foldable phone can be seen clearly. Unlike, Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, the screen is bent outwards instead of inwards. This seems to be quite a similar approach as adopted by Royole Flex, which was the world’s first foldable unveiled late last year and Xiaomi’s teased dual foldable display technology.
That being said, the Huawei’s Mate X looks promising according to the banner photos leaked. However, in a couple of days, this Mate X can be unveiled by Huawei since they have an event already scheduled on 24th of this month at MWC, 2019.
