Honor Watch Magic & Band 4 Wearables Launched in India

Honor India has launched its new wearables – the Honor Watch Magic and the Honor Band 4 in the country alongside its latest Honor View 20 flagship smartphone. The company’s latest smartwatch promises a 7-day battery life and tends to offer a smarter living.

The Honor Watch Magic uses a 316L stainless steel build with 9.8mm of thickness and claims to be one of the slimmest watches in the market. Further, the shell on the smartwatch is made of biodegradable nylon plastic. The Watch Magic comes with HD AMOLED Touchscreen that measures 1.2-inches and has a resolution of 390×390 pixels at 326dpi. The smartwatch features dual chipset to balance between power consumption and watch performance and further promises to provide a 7-day battery life. A 178mAh battery equips the Band 4.

Furthermore, the Watch Magic features a built-in GPS and real-time heart monitoring with Huawei’s TruSeen 3.0 technology. The watch can also track user activities for fitness enthusiasts such as – cycling, swimming, mountain climbing, etc. It also comes with heart rate tracking and Huawei’s TruSleep tracking as well. The Honor Watch Magic, when connected to your smartphone, can alert you for incoming calls, texts, and alarms. The watch has interchangeable straps, and it has been currently launched in two variants – the LAVA Black costing Rs 13,999 and the Midnight Silver variant priced at Rs 14,999.

The other wearables that Honor has launched are the fitness trackers – the Honor Band 4 and Band 4 running. The successor to the Honor Band 3, the Band 4 features a 0.95-inch AMOLED Touch Large Color screen that comes with a 2.5D curved glass that claims to be sturdy and resistant to scratches. The Band 4 comes equipped with Huawei’s TruSleep – a sleep monitoring technology, which is certified by the Center for Dynamical Biomarkers (DBIOM) at Harvard Medical School.

Further, it features the company’s TruSeen real-time heart rate monitoring as well that claims to get 24 hours accurate heart rate with high heart rate alerts. It uses infrared to detect heart rate at night during sleep. The Band 4 is also water resistant for up to 50 meters. Furthermore, Band 4 can even recognize your swim strokes and record swimming speeds and distance as well. Similar to other wearables out in the market, Band 4 also features multiple workout modes including swimming, outdoor riding, walking and running and more.

The Band 4 additionally has some handy smart features like – number identification, rejecting the incoming calls and can display your phone notifications such as emails, texts, tweets, etc. The Band 4 claims to have 17 days of battery life on a single charge provided the scientific sleep tracking turned on gives you six days of battery life, and turning off the feature claims to give you 14 days of battery life.

The other fitness tracker which the company had launched is the Honor Band 4 Running. This band is primarily focused on mainly for those who solely rely on running workout. It also features a 0.5-inch OLED touch screen, which can be connected to your smartphone and can be interacted accordingly. As the name suggests, the band comes with Running posture monitoring. The company claims that it has a six-axis sensor that paired with Honor’s algorithm cab record running data more precisely. It also utilizes professional running and posture monitoring algorithm as well. The dedicated six-axis sensor can detect seven kinds of fitness data that include – foot strike pattern and impact, swing angle, version range and more.

What’s unique and interesting about the Band 4 Running is that it features two wearable modes – a Wrist mode and a Foot mode. While the wrist mode acts as a regular fitness band almost similar to Honor’s Band 4, the Foot Mode is surprisingly different, in this mode, the Band 4 Running can be switched to your shoes with the help of a buckle. This helps in accurate foot monitoring during your running workout. Similar to the Band 4, the Band 4 Running is also water-resistant up to 50 meters. And lastly, it also has interchangeable bands, and the Band 4 Running also claims to have 21 days of battery life on a single charge.

All the tracking details on both the bands can be monitored through Huawei’s health app. Both these bands are supposedly targeted to regular fitness enthusiasts who often monitor their fitness activities. The Honor Band 4 is priced at Rs 2,599 and the Band 4 Running is priced at Rs 1,599. All the products launched today are Amazon Exclusive and can also be bought through Honor India website.
