Asus Zenfone 5Z Android 9.0 Pie Rolling out Globally

Last month we have seen Asus rolling out Android Pie update for its Zenfone 5Z in Taiwan and now the company has decided to roll it out globally as promised earlier. The update will be bringing many new features and among which a few important once are mentioned. The new Android 9.0 Pie update for the Zenfone Z5 comes with the version number 90.10.138.175 and weighs 1080MB in size.

Since the update is via OTA, it will be pushed to the handset in batches depending on the serial numbers and it might take a few more days to hit your smartphone. If you have not received the update yet, and can’t wait for it, you can always do it manually by going to the setting of the device and then head to the system updates settings. If the update is available, then you need to download it and install.

Make sure that the device has the minimum charge of 60 percent before updating it and it is suggested to download the update via Wi-Fi connectivity since it is big in size. The new features that come along the update are Adaptive brightness which uses machine laying to prioritize system resource for the apps.

There is also an App Actions feature, which helps its users by raising the visibility of the application and help drive engagement using machine learning. A new magnifier feature, security patches and few more along with some bug fixes. Asus also promised its Zenfone Max Pro M2 users for the Android Pie update in January, but nothing has been heard about it as of now. Have you received the update?
