Apple spent $60 billion supporting 450,000 US supplier jobs last year

The final assembly of most Apple products happens in either India or China. Similarly, most of the company’s components are sourced from Asian suppliers too. But in a new press release published earlier today, the iPhone giant was keen to point out its growing operations in the US.

According to Apple, it spent a considerable $60 billion last year supporting over 9,000 American companies, an increase of more than 10% versus the year prior. This translated into a whopping 450,000 domestic ...
