Both the Spotify music streaming platform and the ever-growing family of Google Home smart speakers need all the help they can get in trying to fend off Apple and Amazon in their extremely competitive respective industries.

A promotional partnership, unveiled earlier today, seems like the textbook definition of a win-win situation. This will technically come into effect tomorrow, November 1, allowing new and existing Spotify Premium for Family plan master account holders to score a free Google Home Mini through December 31.
