Nokia 3.1 Plus with 6″ HD+ Display & 13MP Dual Cameras Launched

HMD Global launched its latest budget smartphone called Nokia 3.1 Plus in India today. Earlier this year, the company launched the Nokia 3.1 as the successor to last year’s Nokia 3. Now, the new Nokia 3.1 Plus is an upgrade to Nokia 3.1 and offers better performance with the same 2-day battery life. The device sports Aluminum body with plastic caps on the top and bottom. Just like the earlier launched Nokia devices, the new Nokia 3.1 also joins the Android One family.

While the new Nokia 3.1 Plus runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, the latest Android 9.0 Pie update will be rolled out in the coming months. It sports a 6-inch 18:9 display with HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage respectively. The user can further expand the storage using the dedicated MicroSD card slot.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 3.1 sports dual rear cameras featuring 13MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there is a single 8MP camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture. The device is backed by a 3,500mAh non-removable and is mentioned to offer 2-day battery life. The device supports dual SIM dual standby using the triple card slot. It comes in Blue, White and Baltic color options.

The device measures 156.88 x 76.44 x 8.19 mm and weighs 180 grams. Connectivity option include Cat. 4 LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/AGPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. On the rear, we can also spot the circular fingerprint sensor. Coming to the pricing and availability, the new Nokia 3.1 Plus will go on sale starting October 19th for Rs 11,499.
