Pixel, Nexus devices and Essential Phone receive September Android security update
Now that September is here, it is time for Google to start pushing out the new month's Android security update to Pixel handsets and certain Nexus devices. Besides taking care of 59 vulnerabilities, the update dated September 5th improves the Retail Mode battery charge for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Unless you work at a store that sells smartphones and you're trying to set up a display, don't worry about this. The update also improves Software Version Reporting, and the audio quality over car speakers (using a Bluetooth connection) for all four current Pixel models.
