New iPhones will no longer have the Lightning-to-jack adapter included in the box

A couple of years ago, Apple declared war on the 3.5 mm headphone jack. An outdated connector, the company said, which only holds us back from the digital, wireless future. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus of 2016 were released with absolutely no headphone jack on board, which angered quite a lot of people. Now, Apple did make a Lightning-to-jack adapter dongle, which was included in the box with each new phone. And, if you wanted to add some more of those to your collection, making sure you always had one handy — the Apple Store sells them for $9 apiece.

So, it's an outdated connector, but ...
