BlackBerry Motion quickly joins KEYone on Android Oreo bandwagon

Global BlackBerry brand licensee TCL got a lot of flak, and rightly so, for starting its first round of public Android Oreo beta tests a measly few weeks before Google released stable Pie goodies for Pixel devices and the Essential Phone.

But the China-based designer, manufacturer, and distributor of last year’s BlackBerry KEYone, as well as 2018’s KEY2, actually did a decent (and discreet) job of “optimizing” Android 8.0 software for the slightly lower-end and decidedly lower-profile BlackBerry Motion.
