Android Messages is getting Google Assistant integration

It's funny to think that Google Assistant debuted on Allo back in 2016 – a messaging app that will certainly be abandoned in the not-so-distant future, or relegated to serving a minor role, much like Hangouts "evolved" into Hangouts Meet and Hangouts Chat. But Google Assistant has since moved on to greener pastures, playing a key role in other Google products and services.
